Community Outreach
The pandemic pushed our ministry to understand that our community required help, and we started working. Our community demographic is primarily Hispanic/ Latino community; it has been possible to provide to the community. It has taken work to obtain volunteers and aid, but in 2020 we donated 12,000 food boxes. Most of the food donated is fresh vegetables and dairy products, which is essential to families in the community.
In 2021 we were able to host our first back-to-school drive, we were able to collect 80 backpacks. We filled them with different school supplies and distributed them to students living in the community. Our ministry is working to create an after-school program in which students can have access to achieve academic success.
